We are pleased to announce that Racheal Kuczma will be facilitating a focus group session for ADIESA members on 3 July, providing an opportunity to share insights and experiences on engaging effectively with Defence. The session will centre on the theme Smart Collaboration – Partnering with Defence and will explore key topics including, but not limited to: Procurement and ASDEFCON reform – What should industry know to help accelerate contracting and delivery? Defence feedback priorities – How can industry support Defence’s goals regarding tendering, risk thresholds, and contracting templates? Building sovereign capability – Strategies to strengthen Australian industry capacity and enable continuous capability delivery. SME engagement – Exploring direct engagement with Defence/CASG and collaborative approaches with Primes. This session is a valuable opportunity to contribute to a constructive dialogue aimed at improving collaboration and outcomes across the Defence-industry partnership.Registration Current financial ADIESA members are invited to nominate one person to attend the focus group. Dress Business Attire Racheal Kuczma is First Assistant Secretary Commercial, leading Commercial Division in the provision of advice and services across the Defence enterprise. Racheal joined Defence as part of the 2004 graduate program and through her rotations discovered her passion for contracting. Since her completion of the graduate program, Racheal has undertaken a variety of commercial roles supporting acquisition programs in the Aerospace and Maritime domains, including MRH 90, P8-A Poseidon, C-27J Spartan and the Attack Class Submarine. After 17 years in Defence, Racheal joined Northrop Grumman leading the Australian business in contracts and supply chain role that provided her valuable insight into understanding how US primes work. In September 2024, Racheal was appointed to her current position, returning to Defence with a wealth of commercial, government and industry experience. Racheal is now driving an ambitious program of initiatives to uplift commercial policy, processes, resources and tools across the enterprise to support the Defence mission.
