Mr Martin Faulkner
Mr Martin Faulkner is the Defence Business Development Manager for Leidos Australia. He is responsible for seeking opportunities to deliver communications and information technology capabilities to the Australian Department of Defence.
Martin joined Lockheed Martin Australia’s Information Systems and Global Solutions (IS&GS) business area in September 2011. From August 2016 with the merger of IS&GS with Leidos from the United States of America, Martin has continued in the same role with Leidos Australia.
Martin served nearly 26 years in the Australian Army as a Signals Officer and completed his service as a Colonel. His career included Unit Command in a high readiness light brigade, squadron command in a mechanised brigade and some time in Special Forces. He served overseas in the Middle East, East Timor and Afghanistan. Martin’s final assignments included time in the Defence Chief Information Officer Group commanding the Defence Network Operations Centre and finally, as the Director Network Enabled Warfare at Army Headquarters, responsible for command, control, computing, communications, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance – electronic warfare (C4ISREW) capability management within Army.
Martin is a graduate of the US Army Command and General Staff College, including the Masters in Military Arts and Science program. In addition Martin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a Master of Business Administration.
